This course teaches you the science and composition of oils needed to formulate and make your own skincare products. It delves deeply into the properties, substitutions, fragrance profiles, INCI classifications for soapmaking and the end of the course you'd reach a level of comfort so that you can finally formulate your own recipes!
You will discover how to substitute locally sourced oils and butters, so that you can get started straight away at little or no cost.

*This is a prerequisite course which forms the building block for all other courses and it is strongly recommended to be taken before the more advanced courses.*
Q) Would I learn how to make soap?
A) This course does not teach you how to make soap but it does cover the components of oils and properties to allow you substitute them when formulating your own recipes.
What is included in the course fee
Course tuition fees are inclusive of e-books and raw materials (ingredients) required to complete each course.
Students are expected to purchase hardware/equipment prior to the classes for active participation. A list will be provided once payment has been made.
All classes are held online and students are expected to ensure that they have good, working internet connection for the duration of the course.
Courses are delivered using a blended format which include private study time, online learning, face-to-face instruction time, homework, quizzes and exams. Courses with a practical component may be held over multiple days. Final delivery details will be communicated.

A certificate of completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
